Robert W. Bauer was born in Pensacola, Florida and grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. In 1989, Robert enlisted in the United States Army and served with the 365th Transportation, out of Ft. McClellan, Alabama. In 1990, he was recognized as the FORSCOM Soldier of the Year for the 2nd Army, representing over 200,000 soldiers in the Southeastern United States. Robert attained the rank of Specialist. He was deployed to Operation Desert Storm with his unit and led convoys transporting ammunition and supplies into Kuwait City and to the Iraqi Border.After his honorable discharge in 1991, Robert returned to school and earned an Associate of Science degree in Emergency Medicine. He worked for Alachua County Fire Rescue as the lead Paramedic on the transport unit. At the Florida State Fire College, Robert received certification as a firefighter and was recognized as the top graduate of his class based on both academic and physical performance.After leaving the fire service, Robert entered the University of Florida. He received a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Florida in 2001 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2004. While attending law school, Robert interned for the Honorable Peter K. Sieg of the Eight Judicial Circuit and then clerked for Clayton-Johnston. Robert was admitted to the Florida Bar in April of 2005.In addition to his law practice, Robert is actively involved in professional events as well as family events involving his wife and two sons. He also rows competitively throughout the Southeast.
