Daniel Ross was born and raised in rural Northeast Texas. He attended Texas State University-San Marcos on an academic scholarship and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2007. He received the Richard B. Henderson award as the top political science student his senior year. After graduation, he taught English in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He received his law degree with honors from The Florida State University College of Law in 2012. While in law school, he earned the book award in immigration law and was a student member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. His practice is limited to immigration and nationality law, and he speaks conversational Spanish.
