He has significant courtroom experience, handling over 20 criminal trials as an Assistant Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, over 100 non-jury trials as counsel for Fortune 500 companies and mortgage servicers, and over 1,000 appearances at motion hearings and other courtroom matters.Dan was born in Hollywood, Florida and raised in nearby Pembroke Pines. He attended Nova High School, where he was an award-winning finalist at many national debate tournaments. At the University of Florida, he earned two bachelor's degrees in 2005: a BA in Political Science and a BS in Psychology. He graduated magna cum laude by penning a senior thesis dissecting the interpersonal relationships between US Supreme Court Justices and how those relationships affected their rulings and opinions.He then attended the Florida State University College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2008. While a law student there, the Florida Supreme Court allowed him to litigate in state courts, including the Leon County Circuit Court and the 1st District Court of Appeal. In addition, he was a founding member and former President of LitiGators, who's recruitment efforts encouraged UF graduates to attend FSU's law school. When he graduated, there were more UF undergraduates at FSU Law than there were FSU undergraduates.Dan and his wife welcomed their first child in 2014 and are proud to call Orlando their home.
