Erica practices out of the Hendersonville office, but frequently travels throughout Henderson, Transylvania, Buncombe, and surrounding areas to meet with clients. Erica provides a full range of estate planning services, including drafting wills and trusts, providing Medicaid and nursing home planning, assisting with guardianships, and probating estates.Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Erica graduated magna cum laude from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota before moving with her husband, Ben J. Erickson, to Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Erica spent more than a decade working in the management of non-profit organizations providing services to people with mental and physical disabilities. Erica continues to pursue her passion of working with and advocating for others via her involvement with numerous community organizations, including the Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest and TRIAD of Henderson County, among others.Erica enjoys providing free seminars to community groups and organizations on various topics, including Basic Estate Planning, Medicaid and VA Planning, How to Avoid Common Pitfalls of Estate Planning, Power of Attorney, Health Care Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and related topics. If your group would like Erica to provide a 1-2 hour seminar, please call her office to schedule a date and select your topics of interest.In her free time, Erica enjoys playing tennis, hiking with her husband and their dogs, relaxing at home with her many rescue kitties, and exploring the natural beauty of Western North Carolina.
