Fabian A. Pal is a senior counsel in Holland & Knight's Miami office. Mr. Pal practices principally in the areas of corporate and international law, with emphasis on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and joint venture transactions, as well as venture capital and private equity finance, and general corporate representation. He has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures; international commercial transactions, such as distribution and licensing agreements; domestic and off-shore corporate structures; and works closely with foreign counsel on cross-border transactions.Mr. Pal has represented clients in diverse matters, including the sale of a regional gas distribution company; venture capital financing of a U.S. airport concessions company; representation of a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia in U.S. investments; the private placement of a Brazilian investment fund; capital raising for the development of a national franchise developer; and the merger of two Central American banks.He began his legal career as in-house counsel for a technology and internet investment fund focused on Latin American software and internet start-up companies overseeing investments and capital raising. In addition, Mr. Pal oversaw corporate formations, negotiation of licensing and service contracts, and managed outside counsel relationships throughout Latin America. As a result of this extensive legal background, he was able to expand his practice into other areas of general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity financing at a Florida-based law firm.
