Flavia Pocari received her law degree and certificate in Child and Family Law, from DePaul University College of Law, where she also served as the Senior Articles' Editor on the Journal of Women, Gender & the Law. Flavia graduated with high honors from Elmhurst College in 2010, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Political Science, and was awarded Psychology Department Recognition Award and the Political Science Senior of the Year Award, in her last year.Flavia focused her law school career on all aspects of family law, including divorce, parentage, child support, child custody, domestic violence, and the like. She volunteered at the Domestic Violence Courthouse and represented low income individuals as a 711 Licensed Senior Law student, through her work with the Chicago Legal Clinic, and was awarded the Benjamin Hooks Distinguished Service Award. Flavia also participated in the Family Law Clinic at DePaul, where she earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and interned for the Honorable Judge Raul Vega of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Domestic Relations Divisions.Outside of law school, Flavia completed the Divorce Mediation training at Northwestern University, School of Continuing Studies in order to develop the skills necessary to resolve complex issues quickly and amicably, while remaining sensitive to clients' needs.Flavia understands the importance of providing clients with legal stability, so they may enjoy financial and emotional stability long after their legal proceedings are over.
