Scott focuses his practice on a variety of real estate matters, from those involving landlord/tenant, to non-disclosure and boundary line disputes, to those involving construction defects and homeowners’ associations. He also has significant litigation experience outside of real estate, regularly representing clients involved in business and partnership disputes. Although Scott is a firm believer in resolving appropriate cases through early mediation, he is experienced in all aspects of litigation and is comfortable taking the right case all the way through trial. Scott is a contributing author to the CEB guide to Landlord/Tenant Practice, a participant at SPOSF ‘ask-a-lawyer’ nights, and has contributed articles to the SPOSF newsletter on a number of occasions. While in law school, Scott published a comment in the Santa Clara Law Review regarding the attempts by former Ohio State standout Maurice Clarett to enter the NFL after only one year in college. An Atlanta native and long-time East Coast resident, Scott came to the Bay Area after graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans. After earning his JD from Santa Clara University, Scott relocated to San Francisco where he resides with his wife, and two children, Jackson & Lyla. He enjoys watching the Giants win, sampling the culinary delights of the City and supporting live music.
