Jed grew up in Orlando. He went to Lake Mary High School, graduating Summa Cum Laude (over 4.0 GPA), while playing varsity baseball and volleyball. He attended Florida State University and obtained degrees, with honors, in both Finance and Insurance/Risk Management. Jed stayed at Florida State for law school where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree with honors.After passing the Bar, Jed served as a prosecutor at the Orange/Osceola County State Attorney's Office where he prosecuted hundreds of cases, which included the trial of numerous cases as both lead and co-counsel. He then joined the prestigious downtown-Orlando law firm of Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McLain, P.A., where he specialized in on-the-job injuries and accidents. During his time at the Rissman firm, Jed assisted in case litigation and he worked intimately with several, large insurance companies.
