The Anderson, Indiana native earned a Bachelor's in History from Indiana University before attending the IU School of Law in Indianapolis. He has practiced law in Evansville since 2004.His accomplishments as an attorney are extensive, including having argued on multiple occasions before the Indiana Supreme Court and the Federal 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago.
