Susan Demske has a broad civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on complex civil litigation. Practice Since joining WilmerHale in January 2004, Ms. Demske has represented corporations in connection with investigations involving the SEC and advised clients with respect to regulatory issues.From 1999 to 2003, Ms. Demske was a Trial Attorney in the Federal Programs Branch of the Civil Division of the US Department of Justice. As a Trial Attorney, Ms. Demske helped to successfully defend the US Departments of Treasury, State and Justice against constitutional and statutory challenges to the designation and asset freezing of various entities under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. She also served as lead or assistant counsel for the US and federal agencies in numerous other areas of civil litigation, including complex back pay class action litigation, the Privacy Act, the Freedom of Information Act, employment discrimination and administrative law.Professional Activities Ms. Demske is a member of the American Bar Association.
