MEET ATTORNEY DEREK L. CASEY Attorney Derek L. Casey joined our firm in March of 2017. He has since worked on cases including motor vehicle collisions, premises liability claims, and other personal injury causes of action. In addition, he specializes in Consumer Bankruptcy and prides himself in professionally guiding his clients through the legal process, and helping them to overcome the traumatic event that led them to seek legal representation. BACKGROUND Derek Casey was born and raised in Modesto, California. After graduating from the Police Academy in 2007, he worked as a Reserve Police Officer where he found himself fascinated with law and in turn, decided to pursue a law degree. His work with the Modesto Police Department has been invaluable in providing insight into the safety standards involved in many cases. He completed his undergraduate coursework at Stanislaus State University where he obtained a B.A. in English in 2011. He then began studying at Lincoln Law School in Sacramento, California. During law school, Derek worked assisting impoverished members of the community with their family law cases. Derek acquired his law degree in 2016 and subsequently passed the California State Bar Exam later that year. After graduating from law school, Derek completed an internship at the Stanislaus County District Attorneys’ Office where he primarily conducted legal research, prepared legal briefs and worked on a high profile murder investigation. In his free time, he enjoys jogging, hiking, great movies and spending time with his friends and family.
